Representatives of Russia's subjugated peoples intend to seek a separate platform for dialogue with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), arguing that the existing platform for Russian democratic forces fails to address what they consider the key issue: Russia's decolonization and the right to self-determination.

This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by Djamboulat Souleimanov, head of the group representing Russia's subjugated peoples and leader of the Chechen national liberation movement United Force.

According to Souleimanov, the initiative aims to ensure the full implementation of the PACE resolution adopted in October last year, particularly the provision calling for the creation of a separate dialogue platform with representatives of Russia's indigenous peoples and national minorities.

"We want this resolution to be implemented in full, because this provision has seen virtually no progress over the past year. Meanwhile, after six months of observing the work of the dialogue platform for Russian democratic forces, we have seen that they have not produced a single coherent strategy for confronting the Putin regime," Souleimanov said.

He noted that representatives of Russia's subjugated peoples had already held an online conference to establish a working group tasked with demonstrating "the difference and the necessity of having a separate platform."
