The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has alleged that its Benue State Chairman, Alhaji Ardo Risku, was shot dead barely an hour after attending a security meeting convened by authorities in Ohimini Local Government Area, describing the killing as suspicious and demanding an immediate investigation.
In a statement issued on Friday by its National President, Baba Othman Ngelzarma, the association said it received news of the killing with “deep shock and sadness,” adding that the circumstances surrounding the incident had raised serious concerns.
According to MACBAN, Risk had honoured an invitation by the Ohimini Local Government authorities to participate in a security meeting aimed at addressing the worsening security situation and promoting peace in the area.
