A 29-year-old Kabaddi coach has been booked by the All Women Police, Kannagi Nagar, under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, after he allegedly sexually assaulted a minor trainee.The police said the accused, who has operated a local Kabaddi club for several years, allegedly assaulted the 17-year-old girl at her residence last week. The incident came to light after the girl’s teammates noticed a significant change in her behaviour and found her in physical distress.Following a formal complaint lodged at the All Women Police Station, an FIR was registered under Sections 7 (sexual assault), 8 (punishment for sexual assault), and 9 (aggravated sexual assault) of the POCSO Act.The police have launched a search to apprehend the suspect.
