Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Phumelele Makoba,

KWAZULU Natal (KZN) police have cancelled all leave and imposed strict controls on sick leave in preparation for the planned marches on June 30, ensuring public safety and order.

An internal directive issued by the office of the provincial police commissioner this week ordered that all South African Police Service (SAPS) members must return to duty from June 24 until further notice.

The instruction was issued by the National Crime Combating Forum.

According to the directive, which was seen by the POST, all leave for SAPS members in KZN was cancelled from Wednesday until further notice.
