A parcel of land allegedly belonging to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Deputy Speaker K Raghurama Krishna Raju was reportedly encroached upon at Rushikonda under the PM Palem police station limits, prompting the registration of a criminal case.According to PM Palem Inspector B. Balakrishna, the Deputy Speaker had purchased the 300-square-yard site at Rushikonda in July 1989. However, in December of the same year, an individual allegedly forged or impersonated the ownership documents and fraudulently sold the property to another person.Police said the land subsequently changed hands multiple times and was eventually transferred to three other parties over the years.The alleged fraud came to light recently after some acquaintances of the Deputy Speaker noticed activity on the site and alerted him. Following this, Mr. Raghurama Krishna Raju lodged a complaint with the PM Palem police.Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the alleged forgery, fraudulent sale of the property and the subsequent transactions involving the land.
