Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha said the socialist genie is “out of the bottle,” and blasted socialists for driving the Democratic Party further to the left.“It’s [socialist genie] out of the bottle at this point, it’s sitting on the couch saying, ‘Get out of my house,’” Concha said on Fox News’s Fox & Friends Friday.Concha said socialists are taking the party so far left that anyone who is the “e-word,” meaning “establishment,” will be singled out.
“The Democratic National Committee, the establishment, is a rudderless ship,” Concha said. Establishment “equals status quo, and that equals someone who will be targeted in a primary election” by socialists.
Concha said the Democratic Socialists of America have “the energy, they have the momentum, they have the money to win elections in New York or Washington, D.C.”“One by one, major American cities are going to fall to socialist candidates, and establishment Democrats know this,” Concha said. “That is where the energy is right now.”He called the socialist takeover “ugly,” but also contended that “it’s a losing war.”“In the end, especially young voters, are coming out for the socialist stuff because they see government as the problem,” Concha said. “They see everything that they have in terms of debt, in terms of unaffordability, not being able to accomplish the American dream: they blame government instead of themselves, as far as individuals, and when that’s the case, Democrats will be the first to fall here.”Concha highlighted that young voters hate “the ‘e-word,’ the establishment Democrats who they believe have failed them, and they will be targeted and those establishment Democrats will lose.”However, Concha said this movement will not last in swing states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, or Michigan.
