TIRUNELVELI:The police destroyed 579.225 kg of ganja seized in four southern districts under the Tirunelveli Range police on Thursday, at a private furnace located in the Pothaiyadi area, within the jurisdiction of Vijayanarayanam Police station.A total of 579.225 kg of ganja seized from accused persons in 250 narcotics cases registered in the districts Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi and Kanniyakumari, were destroyed in accordance with the respective courts and based on the recommendations from Drug Disposal Committee.The drug was destroyed under the leadership of R.
