Over 2,100 kg of seized ganja was incinerated in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, by police and officials on Tuesday.
Ganja weighing 2,106 kg that was seized in various districts in the State was destroyed at Ayodhipatti village near Sengipatti in Thanjavur district on Tuesday.
The contraband seized during raids conducted by the Tamil Nadu police in the State in the recent past was brought to the private bio-medical waste disposal unit at Ayodhipatti. It was destroyed in an incinerator in the presence of Inspector General, Narcotics Intelligence Bureau, Senthilkumari, police said.
