On June 26, the Russian army launched a drone strike on an apartment building in the city of Izium, Kharkiv region, resulting in fatalities and injuries.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by Stepan Maselskyi, head of the Izium District Military Administration.
“In the city of Izium, according to preliminary information, multi-story residential buildings were damaged as a result of a drone attack. Preliminary reports indicate, unfortunately, that there are fatalities and injuries. The number of casualties is currently being verified," the post reads.
The Izium City Military Administration confirmed the death of one person.
"As a result of the enemy UAV attack on the city of Izium, four casualties have been reported so far. These include two women, one man, and one child (acute stress reaction). Unfortunately, a woman born in 1946 was killed," the Izium City Military Administration reported.
