Fatima Mohammed is happy that the City finally came out to her place
The water damage in Mohammed's house
After Weekend Argus reached out to the City of Cape Town, public housing teams visited Karen Court in Manenberg this week to assess repairs after residents said they had been living with severe leaks and water seepage for years.
Fatima Mohamed, who lives at 18 Karen Court, said she had repeatedly complained to the City about water seeping through the walls of her home, leaving parts of the property flooded whenever it rains.
She said the situation had become a nightmare for her and her husband, especially with Cape Town’s winter rains already affecting many communities.
