Outgoing Liberal MP Nate Erskine-Smith ruled out a run for leadership of the Ontario Liberal Party on Thursday, but said he is still considering a bid for municipal office.

The Star reported last week that Erskine-Smith, 42, had discussed the possibility of running for Toronto city council with Mayor Olivia Chow. He said the topic came up “in passing” but was not the focus of their conversation.
