MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) said a ceiling panel collapsed at Bicol International Airport Terminal on Thursday afternoon.
According to Caap in a statement, it was the ceiling panel at the Well-Wishers area of the airport that detached and fell in front of a restaurant at approximately 5:50 p.m.
“The affected area was immediately secured and access was restricted as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the traveling public and airport personnel,” said Caap.
