And now Chuwi’s UniBook laptop with an Intel Core 3 304 Wildcat Lake chip is available for pre-order for $449.The Intel Core 3 304 processor is the least powerful member of the Wildcat Lake family, with fewer CPU and/or GPU cores than higher-priced chips. But it’s still competitive with the Apple A18 Pro chip that powers the MacBook Neo.In May, a handful of PC makers introduced laptops featuring this chip, including Asus, HP, Lenovo, and Honor. But Chuwi is the first to begin taking pre-orders from customers in the US, and the company says the UniBook should begin shipping to customers by July 20, 2026.At the heart of the laptop is Intel’s 15-watt, 5-core processor with one Performance CPU core, four Low-Power Efficiency cores, single-core graphics, and a 15 TOPS NPU. The chip is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory that’ soldered to the mainboard (meaning it’s not user-upgradeable) and a 256GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD (which can be replaced with up to a PCIe 4.0 SSD).The Chuwi UniBook has a 14 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel, 60 Hz display with support for up to 300 nits brightness, a backlit keyboard, 720p webcam with a privacy shutter, and support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
