The Ondo State Commander of Amotekun, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this on Thursday to journalists, claiming the victims were freed without the payment of any ransom.

Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, have rescued eight kidnapped victims in the state after a gun battle with their abductors.

The Ondo State Commander of Amotekun, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this on Thursday to journalists, claiming the victims were freed without the payment of any ransom.

Adeleye said some of the victims were abducted from Ilado community in Akure North Local Government Area of the state, adding that the kidnappers had demanded N30 million before the victims were eventually rescued.
