White didn’t start any games after his trade to Charlotte. With Ball on his way to Minnesota, that could be changing.White, 26, was set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The Hornets acquired the guard from the Chicago Bulls in February in exchange for Collin Sexton, Ousmane Dieng and three second-round picks. At the time, White was the longest-tenured member of the Bulls, having been drafted by the team in 2019.White dealt with calf injuries throughout the season and only played 50 games total, 21 with the Hornets. He averaged 15.6 points per game and shot 39.1 percent from 3 in Charlotte, helping the Hornets surge in the final months of the season as they qualified for the Play-In Tournament with 44 wins. They beat Miami in overtime of the tournament before losing to the Orlando Magic.ESPN first reported the deal.
