June 25 (UPI) -- Paramount has signed a multi-year deal with Warner Bros. Discovery to broadcast the Harry Potter movies.

The network announced in a press release Thursday that it is bringing all 11 of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films to MTV, Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite and Paramount Network for the first time.

Based on the J.K. Rowling book series, the eight Harry Potter movies were released between 2001 and 2011 and star Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. The three Fantastic Beasts films are also based on Rowling's works and debuted between 2016 to 2022. Those movies star Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston.

"Expanding Paramount's portfolio with the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films underscores our commitment to delivering world-class franchises to the wide range of audiences our brands serve," Paramount Media Networks head of programming and acquisitions Laurel Weir said.
