The Election Commission of India’s Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls began in the city on Thursday, June 25, with house-to-house distribution of the enumeration forms by the Booth Level Officers.District Election Officer and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner R.V. Karnan along with Zonal Commissioner B. Santhosh inspected the distribution of forms at Gyani Zail Singh Nagar at Film Nagar in Jubilee Hills Constituency and issues directions to the Electoral Registration Officers, and other election staff.Form distribution also began in all polling stations of Secunderabad, Ameerpet, Charminar, Chandrayangutta, and other locations. The process is being carried out by BLOs in coordination with the Booth Level Agents appointed by the political parties, under the supervision of BLO supervisors, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, and Electoral Registration Officers, a statement from the GHMC informed.The BLOs would visit each house at least thrice during the distribution and collection phase which will continue up to July 24. The enumeration forms need to be filled up by the electors with assistance by BLOs if needed.
