A man was gunned down in the Springtown area of Durban on Thursday, the second incident in 24 hours.
According to ALS Paramedics, the shooting incident took place at around 11 am on Lotus Road near Foxglove Road.
Spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said paramedics arrived on the scene to find SAPS already in attendance,, with the area cornered off.
"Paramedics were shown to a male believed to be in his fifties who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was assessed, but showed no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene."
Jamieson said at this stage, the events leading up to the shooting are unknown; however, SAPS will be investigating further.
