Are Kylie Jenner’s new R7,500 Meta AI glasses spying on you?

Kylie Jenner has partnered with Meta to design a new line of AI smart glasses.

We really thought the Kardashians had already taken up enough space in pop culture, didn’t we? We thought we were safe. We thought we had boundaries. And yet here we are … staring down the barrel of AI glasses designed in collaboration with Kylie Jenner.

Meta has expanded its AI glasses line-up, and this time it has brought in Jenner because nothing says “the future of technology” quite like a reality TV billionaire helping design eyewear that listens to you, watches for you and probably judges your life choices in HD.

At this point, one has to ask: do we actually need more AI in our lives, or are we just speed-running towards a sci-fi movie where our sunglasses start giving us unsolicited advice?

The new range launches at a starting price of $399, which converts to roughly R7,500 (give or take, depending on how the rand is feeling about itself that day).
