Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has addressed reports that she is in talks to join TOWIE, as a pal of Lauren Goodger and Amy Childs18:19, 24 Jun 2026Jesy Nelson has responded to reports she is joining the cast of TOWIE, after it was suggested she was planning to slot into the “glam mums group”.‌The Little Mix singer is no stranger to the small screen, having won the X Factor with her former bandmates in 2011. She most recently fronted a documentary about her journey to motherhood for Amazon Prime.‌However, amid claims that she would be popping up on the ITV2 series, after reportedly forging friendships with Lauren Goodger and Amy Childs, she insisted this couldn’t be further from the truth.‌Taking to Instagram, the 35-year-old shared a screenshot of a headline discussing a possible TOWIE stint, and told fans: “Well, this is the first I’m hearing of this. I can confirm I’m defo not joining the cast of TOWIE. I just like to watch it.”Jesy’s message comes after it was reported that she was due to meet some of the cast and crew of the long-running reality TV show, to discuss how she could appear.‌“It’s a total natural fit,” an insider told the Sun. “Jesy is from Essex and knows a lot of the cast anyway so it’s not going to feel forced. She’s been talking a lot to Lauren and Amy Childs in particular so it’s likely she’ll be a part of their glam mums group.“While nothing is confirmed yet, to even have Jesy in talks for the show is a huge deal for Towie.“She’s an internationally famous Essex girl who was part of one of the world’s most successful girl groups – to say they’re excited would be an understatement.”‌Jesy is set to return to screens next month for her new Amazon Prime documentary, titled Jesy Nelson: Life Changing. It will focus on the Secret Love Song singer’s efforts to get Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) testing at birth throughout the UK, after her twins, Ocean and Story - who she shares with ex Zion - were diagnosed with the rare condition that causes muscle wastage.“In the beginning I felt like I was going to feel that sadness and that heartache for the rest of my life,” she told the camera. “But the pain does get less. When something like this happens in your life, it puts everything into perspective, there’s a reason that this is, you know, happening.‌“There is this whole community that have been fighting for years to be seen and heard, so that no other family has to go through this ever again. That’s the reason.“The girls’ diagnosis has become my normal now. They are the reason that I now feel that I have purpose, and they give me strength every day.“They give me a reason to not be sad. Because I am, like, how can I be sad when you’re going through all of this and they’re still smiling?”Article continues belowLike this story?
