Ukraine's Defense Forces are conducting active operations in the Oleksandrivka direction in an effort to seize the tactical initiative and force Russian troops onto the defensive in certain sectors of the front.
This was stated on television by Southern Defense Forces spokesperson Vladyslav Voloshyn, Ukrinform reports.
"The Oleksandrivka direction is the area where Ukraine's Defense Forces are trying to seize the tactical initiative and, in some sectors of the front, even force the enemy to switch to defensive operations," Voloshyn said.
According to him, the situation in this section of the front remains difficult, but Ukrainian forces continue to act actively to improve their tactical position.
"We are carrying out fairly active and, to some extent, successful operations there, as the enemy is losing its tactical initiative," the spokesperson noted.
