In the Zaporizhzhia sector, near Mala Tokmachka, Russian forces carried out assaults and attempted to push back Ukrainian units last week, but failed to make any advances. No combat engagements were recorded over the past 24 hours, although the enemy continues reconnaissance, mining operations, and force regrouping.
This was stated on television by the spokesperson for Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, Ukrinform's correspondent reports.
"Last week, for several consecutive days, the enemy tried to push Ukraine's Defense Forces away from Mala Tokmachka and attempted to enter the settlement. To do so, they even launched a large-scale assault using light motorized vehicles on one occasion. The following day, the enemy again tried to storm the positions of Ukraine's Defense Forces in the settlement, but failed to capture a single meter. They achieved no advance on this section of the front," Voloshyn said.
According to the spokesperson, no attempts by Russian forces to assault Ukrainian positions near Mala Tokmachka were recorded over the past day. However, the enemy continues conducting reconnaissance, carrying out engineering support activities, and laying mines near its positions in the area.
