Cody Mo Wai-kit scored a sensational treble when sending out just five runners at Happy Valley on Wednesday night thanks to the victories of Jumbo Treasure, Meowth and Flying Fortune.

Mo has enjoyed an admirable season, securing 45 winners in just his third term training in the city and beating a personal best of 40 winners in 2024-25.

Jumbo Treasure didn’t jump with his customary speed, but it did not stop him sealing the treble for Mo – as well as a double for jockey Derek Leung Ka-chun – in the Class Three Leighton Road Handicap (1,200m).

Leung elected to come out and around Endurance Express who was racing outside leader Honest Witness, and Jumbo Express was able to run down the leader by half a length and notch his fourth career win.

“I’m very happy with the three wins,” Mo said.
