The lawyers alleged that the plan of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government is aimed at silencing and suppressing opposition voices while perpetuating itself in power.

Some members of Sowore’s legal team, Barrister Maxwell Opara and Barrister A.K. Musa, have accused the President Bola Tinubu-led government of using state machinery to suppress opposition figures and dissenting voices.

They called on presidential candidates from different political parties to speak out against what they described as the injustice and persecution of Sowore by the President Tinubu-led government.
