WASHINGTON, June 24. /TASS/. Iran has assured the United States that it is not charging any tolls on vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, US President Donald Trump said as he warned that the United States would immediately cancel negotiations with the Iranian side should it find out that is not the case.
"Iran has informed the US that, despite troublemaking fake news reporting to the contrary, there are no tolls, no insurance costs, and no other charges of any kind being sought or received by Iran on ships traveling the Strait of Hormuz," the US leader posted on his Truth Social platform.
However, he warned, "if this is false information [from Iran], negotiations would end, immediately."
