The latest Zeelander isn’t like the rest—and that’s a good thing. The new yacht is the fastest and most powerful Zeelander 8 the family-owned Dutch shipyard has built to date.

The 79-foot Solea recently left Zeelander’s yard in Groot-Ammers, becoming the third Zeelander 8 to hit the seas. It follows in the footsteps of the second unit, Mojo, delivered earlier this year, and the first hull, Silver Dawn, delivered in 2024, but offers more grunt than its predecessors with quad Volvo Penta IPS-1350 engines that churn out an impressive 4,000 hp. It hit 40 knots during recent sea trials—a first for the model, according to Zeelander.

Perhaps more impressively, Solea is the quietest yacht in its class, the yard says. At full throttle, interior sound levels sit at just 65 decibels—about the same as a normal conversation. She can cover a decent distance, too, with a range of 630 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 32 knots or 2,700 nautical miles at a more leisurely 7 knots.
