Muscat:His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience at Al Barakah Palace today to Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.
At the beginning of the audience, the guest conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar. He also conveyed the Emir's good wishes to His Majesty for abundant health and happiness, and to the Omani people for continuous progress and prosperity.
For his part, His Majesty the Sultan asked the guest to convey his heartfelt sentiments and good wishes to the Emir and to the Qatari people.
The audience reviewed the trajectory of the ongoing US-Iranian negotiations, conducted through Qatari-Pakistani mediation, alongside the latest developments in diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war and reaching a definitive and comprehensive settlement of the crisis.
His Majesty the Sultan underscored the imperative of advancing these endeavors to secure peace and stability in the region, while emphasizing the vital importance of harmonizing the constructive initiatives undertaken by sisterly and friendly nations in this regard.
