Amid the ongoing internal feud within the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), party president Anbumani Ramadoss on Wednesday (June 24, 2026) called on his father and party founder S. Ramadoss at the family’s Thailapuram residence near Tindivanam in Villupuram district.Dr. Anbumani, accompanied by his wife and Dharmapuri MLA Sowmiya Anbumani and other family members, visited his parents on the occasion of their 61st wedding anniversary.Speaking to reporters, Dr. Anbumani said that he visited Thailapuram seeking his parents’ blessing on their wedding anniversary. When asked whether their differences had ended, he said that good things would happen now.The strained relationship between Dr. Anbumani and his father, Dr. Ramadoss, escalated into a leadership tussle in December 2024, with the senior Ramadoss attempting to reclaim party control and Anbumani refusing to relinquish it. The party contested the recently held Assembly elections in two factions – one led by the son, which was part of the National Democratic Alliance, and the other led by the father, which was in alliance with V.K.
