Since the start of Russia’s full‑scale invasion, confirmed environmental losses to Ukraine have reached more than UAH 7 trillion, according to the State Environmental Inspectorate.
The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture published the figures on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“Environmental damage caused to Ukraine as a result of Russian aggression has already exceeded UAH 7 trillion. Between June 12 and 19, 2026, losses increased by another UAH 51.9 billion,” the statement noted.
The largest increase was recorded in air pollution — UAH 51.3 billion. Most of this amount stems from forest fires and burning of other vegetation, totaling UAH 51 billion.
