Olivia Rodrigo opened up further about her just-announced charitable Daisy Chain Fields music festival, telling Good Morning America on Tuesday that all of the acts on the bill are playing for free.
Rodrigo first announced Daisy Chain Fields on Monday, revealing a stacked all-women lineup that includes herself, Chappell Roan, Bikini Kill, Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks and several others. 100 percent of the net proceeds are going to charity.
Speaking with Diane Sawyer, Rodrigo called the women lending themselves for the festival “a real testament to their hearts as well as their talent.”
The listed charities Daisy Chain Fields is partnering with include Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center and Planned Parenthood.
The festival has quickly drawn comparisons to the famed McLachlan co-founded Lilith Fair traveling music festival of the ’90s, and Rodrigo told Sawyer that those shows were “a huge inspiration in me starting this festival.”
