CSI Lombard Memorial (Mission) Hospital, Udupi, has been honoured with the H.E.L.P Sustainability Excellence Award 2026 for Best Green Energy Efficiency Practices, a national-level recognition presented by the Health and Environment Leadership Platform (H.E.L.P) for promoting sustainable healthcare.Hospital director Sushil Jathanna received the award at the H.E.L.P International Conference held in Hyderabad recently. With the healthcare sector accounting for an estimated 4.5% to 5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, environmental sustainability has become a key priority for healthcare organisations worldwide.Many hospitals are aligning their operations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through measures aimed at reducing their environmental footprint. The award recognises hospitals that have demonstrated exemplary leadership and measurable results in energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption and resource conservation.
