A 42-year-old passenger who landed at Tiruchi international airport from Singapore in the early hours of Tuesday reportedly swooned in the airport restroom and died.Police identified the deceased as W. Santhiyagu Arockiyam of Karaikudi in Sivaganga district. Police sources said Santhiyagu arrived from Singapore by an IndiGo flight. Upon completion of immigration and customs clearances, he went to the restroom where he reportedly fainted and lost consciousness. The housekeeping staff who noticed Santhiyagu in an unconscious state alerted the staff of the Medical Inspection roomt. A doctor who examined Santhiyagu declared him dead. Information was conveyed to the local police and his relatives. The autopsy was conducted at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital at Tiruchi later and the body was handed over to his family, said the sources.The Airport Police have registered a case under section 194 of the BNSS on a complaint from his wife S.
