The threat from Vladimir Putin is usually characterised as one involving bombs, tankers and poison. But the Russian President’s most aggressive attack on Britain is far more subtle.

As Ukraine ramps up its drone attacks on Moscow and other key targets within Russia, Putin is increasing his assaults against the UK’s most critical infrastructure, including hospitals, energy networks and telecoms providers.

These attacks are not from drones or missiles – they are part of Moscow’s escalating cyber warfare campaign, which is also thought to be targeting airports and power plants.

Britain isn’t ready, according to Ukraine’s cyber defenders, who are working around the clock to defend vital infrastructure that is under near-constant cyber attack – and they are eager to share the lessons they have learnt.
