Italian coach Alessio Lisci has been appointed as the new head coach of PAOK FC, succeeding Razvan Lucescu, who parted ways with the Thessaloniki club on Friday.

Lisci, 40, began his coaching career in the youth academies of Lazio before moving to Spain in 2011. There, he worked with Levante and Mirandes, before most recently managing Osasuna in La Liga for the 2025/26 season. He departed the Spanish side last month after narrowly avoiding relegation.

In its announcement, the Greek Super League club welcomed its new coach, stating: “Together we are opening a new era, with faith, ambition, and a shared goal to lead our team to new achievements and successes. With hard work and dedication to PAOK’s values, we start together to write the next chapter of our history.”

Lisci replaces Lucescu, who completed two spells in charge of PAOK, first between 2017 and 2019 and again from 2021 until his recent departure.

During his two-part tenure, Lucescu guided the club to two Super League Greece titles – of four in PAOK’s history – as well as two Greek Cup victories, cementing his status as one of the most successful coaches in the club’s history.
