The European Union is reconsidering plans for the UK-EU summit scheduled for July 22 after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced his resignation.
According to Ukrinform, Reuters stated this in an article, citing a spokesperson for the European Commission.
"Our relations with the UK are and will remain strong," the spokesperson said. "On the question of the EU-UK summit, against the announcement this morning of the resignation of Prime Minister Starmer, we are reassessing with (European Council) President Costa and the UK the opportunity of still holding the summit as had been announced last week," the European Commission spokesperson said.

Earlier, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen thanked Prime Minister Keir Starmer for his work with the EU in strengthening the security of Europe and Ukraine.
