Following its creation in 2024, the EPFL Archives service is taking a new step forward with the launch of its web pages. This online presence helps raise awareness of its mission to preserve the institution’s memory and supports EPFL units in the management and preservation of their records.Preserving the memory of an institution as significant as EPFL is a long-term undertaking. Established to collect, preserve, and promote documents that reflect EPFL’s activities, the Archives service is continuing its development through the launch of dedicated new web pages.These pages present the mission of the EPFL Archives, the services offered to the School community, and the legal framework within which the service operates. They highlight the essential role archives play in preserving and transmitting EPFL’s scientific, administrative, and institutional heritage. Behind every preserved document lies valuable information that helps trace the School’s history, document its achievements, and safeguard the memory of those who contribute to its development.Guides and Tools for the EPFL CommunityThe new “EPFL Archives in Practice” page is primarily intended for central services, faculties, and laboratories. It provides practical information on records management and the transfer of archival materials. The Archives team supports units in identifying records to be preserved, preparing them, and transferring them for long-term conservation.This digital presence marks an important milestone in the structuring of the service and reflects its commitment to engaging more closely with the various EPFL communities.
