The Yobe State Government has signed contracts for three major road projects as part of efforts to improve transportation, boost economic activities and enhance connectivity across the state.

Umar Wakili, the commissioner for Works, signing on behalf of the state government the contracts at the Ministry of Works Conference Hall in Damaturu.

The projects include the repair and asphalt overlay of the Kalallawa–Kaliyari Road, awarded to Triacta Nigeria Limited; the reconstruction of the Tetteba–Gulani Road with a seven-kilometre spur to Garin Tuwo, awarded to Elegance Construction Nigeria Limited; and the completion of a seven-kilometre asphalt overlay on the Damagum–Gubana Road, awarded to EEC Nigeria Limited.
