Fresh protests have erupted in Oyo State as residents, activists, and political stakeholders intensified calls for the rescue of schoolchildren and teachers abducted from communities in Oriire Local Government Area, raising concerns over the prolonged captivity of the victims.

The latest demonstration, organised under the banner of the #BringBackOurChildren #BringBackOurTeachers campaign and led by the Take It Back (TIB) Movement, saw protesters take to the streets demanding urgent government intervention to secure the release of the abducted children and their teachers.

The protesters, who stormed the busy Iwo Road area of Oyo State, lamented that the victims have been in captivity for 38 days, a situation they described as unacceptable.

"38 days is far too long. #TinubuMustGo," the group declared during the protest.
