Bejide said this while rejecting the outcome of the poll, alleging widespread vote-buying and massive electoral malpractices.

The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the June 20, 2026, Ekiti State governorship election, Dare Bejide, has described the incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji as the state's worst-performing governor since its creation in 1996.

Bejide said this while rejecting the outcome of the poll, alleging widespread vote-buying and massive electoral malpractices.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the early hours of Sunday, June 21, declared Oyebanji, an incumbent governor and candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the winner of the election.

According to INEC, Oyebanji secured a landslide victory after polling a total of 319,224 votes to defeat his closest rival, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Dr. Wole Oluyede.
