Pacific researchers, community leaders and international partners will gather at the University of Auckland on 24 June for the 2026 Research Symposium.
The annual symposium will provide a platform for established and emerging Pacific researchers to share knowledge, explore solutions and strengthen collaborations aimed at improving health and wellbeing across the Pacific region.
Leading the programme is keynote speaker Dr Ai Ling Tang CNZM of the University of Sydney, whose work in public health and Pacific communities spans several decades. She will be joined by plenary speakers Professor Robyn Whittaker of the University of Auckland and Dr Corina Grey, Director of Public Health New Zealand and a University of Auckland alumna.
Organisers say the symposium will focus on translating research into practical outcomes that benefit Pacific communities.
Panel discussions will address some of the region's most pressing challenges, including women's health, climate change and mental wellbeing.
