June 22, 2026 — 2:07pmA teacher has been charged with possessing child abuse material after police searched his phone and laptop at a western Sydney school.Sex crimes squad detectives attended Amity College Auburn on Friday afternoon after receiving a report on Thursday regarding child abuse material, NSW Police said in a statement.Matthew David Eagleton was arrested after child abuse material was allegedly found on a phone and laptop.NSW PoliceDetectives arrested year 2 teacher Matthew David Eagleton, 54, allegedly finding child abuse material in his possession as well as a small amount of cannabis in his car.
