Nhlamulo Ndhlela announced that he and Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla will go to court to challenge their expulsion by the uMkhonto weSizwe Party.

Expelled members of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) Nhlamulo Ndhlela and Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla have described their expulsion as the work of forces within the party aiming to hijack it and sideline its founder Jacob Zuma.

Speaking at a media briefing on Sunday the two rejected their expulsion calling it an attempt to capture and hijack the MK Party

“The current developments cannot be viewed in isolation. Since the formation of the MK Party, there have been several attempts by individuals and factions to capture, manipulate and ultimately hijack the organisation for personal and political gain.

"During the 2024 General Elections, serious concerns arose regarding the handling of the party's parliamentary candidate list. Information emerged indicating that processes entrusted to certain leaders had been manipulated and that names that appeared on lists were without proper consultation and authorisation by the President,” said Ndhlela.
