The wife of the Abia State Governor, Priscilla Otti, has urged Abia indigenes in the diaspora to become partners in the state’s transformation, saying the future of Abia will be shaped by the collective efforts of its indigenes both at home and abroad.
Otti made the call on Saturday at the Abia town hall meeting organised by the Women’s Wing of the Abia State Town Union at Abati Barracks, Ojuelegba, Lagos.
Those in attendance included the Abia State Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu; Senior Special Assistant to Governor Alex Otti, Agbonma Ukaobasi; and other government representatives.
Addressing participants at the event, the governor’s wife described the gathering as “a conversation about our shared future” and urged Abians living outside the state to contribute meaningfully to its development.
