Steph Chambers / Getty ImagesJune 21, 2026 Updated The Seattle Kraken and Bobby McMann have agreed to a six-year contract extension, the team announced Sunday.The 30-year-old forward was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, but his new deal will keep him in Seattle for an average annual value of $5.75 million, according to league sources who have been granted anonymity to discuss nonpublic information for this story.McMann, who arrived in Seattle via midseason trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs, scored 29 goals and accumulated 46 points in 2025-26, both career highs. After being sent to the Kraken shortly before the NHL’s Feb. 6 trade deadline, the 30-year-old scored 10 goals in 18 regular-season games with the team.

Earlier in the day, the franchise traded a 2026 first-round pick and a 2027 conditional second-rounder to the Florida Panthers for forward Mackie Samoskevich. The 23-year-old Samoskevich is a restricted free agent as of July 1 and will earn a raise from the $775,000 he made this past year in Florida.
