A coded system of classification and fixing standards for the export varieties by voluntary organisations would be useful, he added.Inaugurating the annual meeting of the Handloom Trade and Industry Association here, Mr. Narayanaswami said the Government was having continuous dialogue with all interests concerned for the development of the industry and a co-ordinated effort was necessary to improve the economic condition of weavers. He wanted big exporters to adopt certain areas and help the weavers so that they could see a definite transformation in their standard of living.
