The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election, Bola Oyebamiji, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji, on his re-election victory, describing the outcome as a validation of the governor’s performance in office.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared Oyebanji winner of the governorship election after securing the highest number of valid votes and satisfying the constitutional requirements.

According to the electoral body, the incumbent governor polled 319,224 votes to defeat his closest challengers, while the Peoples Democratic Party secured 40,533 votes and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) garnered 12,872 votes.

In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists on Sunday, Oyebamiji said the landslide victory reflected the confidence reposed in Governor Oyebanji by the people of Ekiti State as a result of his developmental strides.
