Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the settlement of Shevchenkove in the Kharkiv region’s Kupiansk district, leaving civilians injured and causing significant damage to local infrastructure.

Head of the Shevchenkove community Serhii Starikov reported the attack on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“Today, at approximately 16:30, the settlement was struck by guided aerial bombs (around seven in total). The attack damaged a school building, agricultural enterprise facilities, and nearby residential homes. Civilians have been injured,” Starikov said.

He stressed that the community continues to endure constant attacks and urged residents, especially families with children, to evacuate.

“Residents of the frontline Shevchenkove community continue to live under a constant threat to their lives and health, suffering from ongoing enemy shelling. The enemy does not choose targets; it strikes residential buildings, schools, hospitals, and civilian vehicles indiscriminately. Parents should closely monitor the movements of underage children both within and outside populated areas,” the official said.
