Walkathon held to raise awareness on elder abuse

CHENNAI, TAMILNADU, 21/06/2026: Elders and youngsters take part in an Indian Elder Abuse Awareness Walk aimed at promoting awareness and support for senior citizens in Besant Nagar.

HattaKatta Tech Private Limited, an AI-powered preventive senior care platform, organised a community walkathon at Besant Nagar Beach on Sunday to mark World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and highlight the importance of dignity, safety, and well-being for senior citizens.The walk brought together caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community organisations, who pledged to work towards preventing elder abuse and promoting a culture of respect and inclusion for older adults.The event was presided over by V.S.
