The warning comes amid renewed tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border and follows concerns that hostilities involving Hezbollah could undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts in the region.
United States President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, threatening further military action if Tehran fails to rein in groups allied to it in the Middle East, despite recent diplomatic efforts aimed at ending tensions between the United States, Israel and Iran.
In a statement on Sunday, Trump declared: "Iran must immediately stop their highly paid proxies in Lebanon from causing trouble. If they don't, we will hit them very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder."
The warning comes amid renewed tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border and follows concerns that hostilities involving Hezbollah could undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts in the region.
Earlier, Israel's Foreign Affairs Ministry wrote on X, "While Israel and Lebanon pursue peace talks, Hezbollah keeps firing - seeking to derail diplomacy, tighten Iran's grip on Lebanon, and destabilize the region."
