The Netherlands are sitting pretty in Group F of the 2026 World Cup, and two of their most dangerous attackers want to make sure they’re on the pitch when the group stage wraps up against Tunisia on June 25 in Kansas City.
Cody Gakpo and Brian Brobbey, who combined for four goals in the Dutch side’s 5-1 demolition of Sweden, are hopeful of featuring in what could be a relatively low-pressure final pool match. For Tunisia, the stakes couldn’t be more different. They’re staring down elimination after being outclassed in both of their opening fixtures.
The Dutch are cruising, Tunisia is sinking
The Netherlands opened with that emphatic 5-1 win over Sweden, then drew against Japan. That’s four points from two games, putting them in a commanding position at the top of the group.
Gakpo and Brobbey were the headline acts against Sweden, each finding the net twice.
